For one thing, in recent years, China was best characterized by its speedy economic development and its policy in controlling population, which enabled more families in countryside to have only one kid and some rich families move to cities. For another, compared with rural areas, education, hospitals, employment and other public services in cities are better; therefore, cities attract more people to reside.
Accordingly, it is advisable for governments/ authorities to focus more eyesight on the problems caused by population expansion in cities. Meanwhile, it is essential for them to work out comprehensive strategies to shorten the gap between urban and rural areas.
